North East Victoria GTAC outreach trip
Each year GTAC takes its scientists and equipment on the road to visit Victorian rural schools. GTAC recognises that it is not always feasible for schools to visit us at our learning laboratories in Parkville so we provide this opportunity for students and teachers to experience our contemporary life science programs. This trip focuses on the region around Wangaratta and Wodonga in Victoria's North East.
These visits are open to rural Government schools only and are offered free of cost to the school (excluding some incidental materials required for the programs).
Tentative dates: 25th June to 28th June 2018
Year Levels: Middle Years Science, VCE Biology and VCE Chemistry
Programs: to be confirmed. Previous years have included programs focusing on microscopy, forensic science, evolution and protein structure and function.
