Victorian Challenge Enrichment Series (VCES) programs

The following two GTAC programs are supported by the Victorian Challenge Enrichment Series (VCES). They are free and only available to Victorian Government school students.

 

VCES Year 9 & 10 enrichment program

Using bioinformatics to investigate the spread of disease, Virtual Program, Select dates Term 1 and Term 3 

Use bioinformatics to investigate how coronavirus can jump the species barrier to infect humans and other animals. This virtual program is open to Victorian Government school students and is fully subsidised. Please note that we may be able to change the time/date the program is run if you have a large number of students wanting to book in. VCES years 7 & 8 Biomimicry Innovators Club

Design thinking for medical robotics and lifestyle gadgets, Select dates 27th July – 23nd Aug

Join the GTAC Biomimicry Innovators Club to explore the biomechanics of the arm and design a prosthesis to improve quality of life when living with a disability. This program is open to students from Victorian Government schools and is fully subsidised. The program consists of a virtual workshop followed by an onsite visit to GTAC and runs on selected dates in Term 3 & 4, 2021.
